Right in the heart of Greek town, odd eh? since it's Italian! It's a good option since souvlaki every day can get boring. Great customer service and ambiance, and it's family friendly. There's and array of choices on their menu, so you are sure to find something that you'll enjoy, or want to try for the first time! I always love pasta dishes, and any of their is super yummy! They also have a patio, for those that enjoy outdoors dining in the summer.
The prices are set at a fare price, and I haven't come across a dish that I haven't enjoyed.

Do I like Il Fornello? Yes, sometimes and more so with this location because I find service isn't always consistent. The food across all Il Fornellos is standard so if you like the food at one, you'll like it elsewhere. However, in general, I find the Italian fanfare at Il Fornello somewhat boring and reminds me of my own home cooking. So, either I'm a great cook or it's time for Il Fornello to revamp their menu. The pizza is always good but then again, you can get thin crust pizzas in many other places with a lower cost...so...I guess it depends!

I adore this restaurant and am really excited that we are getting one soon in Durham Region but this is the first spot I ever hit and it is ridiculous.... you know... in an AWESOME way!! Its lovely, the people are amazing, the ambiance is delightful and the food is nothing short of perfection! My go to items?? I am not LEAVING until I have a pizza. ANY pizza. Their inventive ingredients and delicious variety is enough to make any pizza foodie drool!!! Love this place!

Depends on the location. I do not recommend the location at Bayview Village. It is supposed to be a fancy restaurant but the food and service were sub par when we went there a few years ago. It was very disappointing.

Located in the heart of Greek town, this Italian eatery is a nice break from souvlaki. It's family friendly, if you go early in the evening there are a lot of children. The menu is extensive, with something for everyone - pizza, pasta, meat entres....I love the pastas, the Caesar salad and the pizza.
In the summer they have a nice patio to people watch.
The prices are right too!

C'est cool! This restaurant has been around for a long time - with different locations sprouting up all around town. (Pretty sure they have a new one by the lake now?) Great quality, although I was a little disappointed when they recently changed the recipe for my favourite pizza (the gorgonzola and caramelized onion one!). I liked the old recipe better, but obviously a lot of people like the new one. So who am I to comment, really! Anyways, check this place out. You're guaranteed to find something on the menu that's both reasonable in price and tasty as heck! The inside of their restaurants are as sleek and clean-cut as their logo suggests.

Nice ambiance and a ton of different pastas to choose from. Don't fill up on the bread because it's a lot of food and a bit higher end pasta place but you could get the same quality pasta at pretty much any pasta joint.

This is a great brunch place. Love the atmosphere on a Sunday morning, rushed, noisy, but, still a nice hazy fog from the sleep in. Their breakfast pizza is amazing, and a great filling wake up after a long night from before. In general I only have the pizza here, and have never been dissapointed. It is gourmet, but, not pretentious. My favourite pizza is the Gorgonzola which has pears, onions and walnuts, with Gorgonzola cheese. At $15.00, more expensive than the usual pizzas on the menu, but, it is worth it. Its a treat to go here, and I wish I could eat here more often. Really good choices!

My great aunt used to always bring us here since we were kids. They food has always been good, fresh and wholesome. The pizzas are true thin crust pizza cook in a stone oven, great taste and flavour. Their pasta is always a great choice too. The service is always good, it can get busy around peak times, so plan ahead. Enjoy!

The prices are reasonable and around average. But, they have alot of options and a good lunch menu. Their gnoochi and pizza are my favourite items and are cooked very well. Call ahead though as there are generally long wait times.

I don't think Il Fornello is for everyone because to me, the food is average. The pizza is great, thin crust and fresh ingredients but the pasta often leaves me begging for more (e.g. chicken pesto pasta was okay - a little too rich and off balanced). The salads are good and fresh at this location and the staff are polite and courteous but it wouldn't be on the top of my list if I were on the Danforth.

I dont normally choose to go to Italian Restaurants but I have to say that Il Fornello does make me want to return... They have great service, the food is fresh! (which is important in Italian cooking) and the wine list is also impressive.

This Italian restaurant is perhaps one of the best ones I have been to in Ontario. I've been to a lot of them including West, but this restaurant towers over competition.
