Moksha Yoga North York is a member of a group of independent hot yoga studios committed to ethical, compassionate and environmentally conscious living. Collectively we strive to communicate that the benefits of yoga are limitless and accessible to all.
Moksha Yoga is more than a series of postures. It began with the vision of two individuals and has since grown into a worldwide community with classes in Hong Kong, Taipai, England, Trinidad, Singapore, Thailand and across Canada
This family has evolved and flourished with the ideas, hard work and support of every Moksha studio owner, Moksha Yoga teacher and most importantly through a community of devoted students working on bettering the world on a subtle level - one sweaty yoga class at a time!
The series is a cardiovascular workout that strengthens, tones and loosens the muscles, while calming the mind and reducing stress. The 'hot' in hot yoga allows for deep, safe stretching and promotes detoxification of the skin, blood and muscles through sweating. Pretty good if you are prepared to be patient and get your own yoga mat, convenient location but can be full so get there early!

I went here on one of the
hottest days of the year, so the temperature outside was about the same
as inside the studio! The smell here is also quite strong, so they might
need to reconsider their cleaning regimen. I found the instructor here
was disengaged and unconcerned by the fact that so many students were
too crowded together to perform the poses properly. I was too
uncomfortable to stay in the class for the entire duration so I left
early and spent 15 minutes trying to clean my mat thoroughly. Maybe I’m
a germaphobe, but the smell here can’t be good. There is plenty of
parking and it's close to the Yonge/Sheppard Subway.

Before coming here, the last time I practiced yoga was years ago, high in the Himalayan mountains with a yogi from the old school. The staff at North York were friendly and informative. The beginner's class even had a handful of men! So guys, no need to feel awkward or embarrassed. With mats available for rent, changing rooms with showers, all you need is to bring yourself and ample willingness.

If you like hot yoga, this place does it right. Friendly staff, great teachers, clean showers, hippy atmosphere. Remember to drink water! Lots!

I love this studio, if you're a newbie they have an intro package for $40 for a month unlimited! You can also pre-register a spot online for your class so you'll never go all the way there to find out its full.
