Lara Feldman is a registered Social Worker providing Play Therapy. Lara works with children from the age of 4. Play therapy is an approach that uses play as the natural language of children. Life stressors such as transitions, divorce, death, bullying and abuse have significant effects on children's emotional, social and cognitive development. Many children experience one or more of these life stressors and will require support in working their way through these challenges. In therapy attention is given to building a trusting relationship with the child and the child is encouraged to lead the session, working in collaboration with the therapist towards goals and solutions based on their need. The child is viewed in a holistic way and therefore all aspects of the child's life are taken into account. I use play therapy techniques such as play, art, drama, music, and sand tray therapy.
