Under Construction..Coming Soon..... CranioSacral Therapy / SomatoEmotional Release Using Directional Energy. CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodily manipulation. The practitioner feels for the rhythm of the cerebro-spinal fluid, which moves up and down the spinal cord from the skull to the sacrum. This rhythm reveals where there are restrictions or areas of tension that require attention. By sensing and following these rhythms, I encourage the body to move and unwind. Dr Upledger, the Founder of the Upledger Institute for CST, calls the mind the inner physician. This is the 'non-concious intelligence' that resides within us all and it is this aspect of the body's own innate healing ability that I encourage. CST was pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger following extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University, where he served as a clinical researcher and Professor of Biomechanics. CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the Craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.Unwinding and Re-balancing with Craniosacral Healing Your session will be on a Massage table or face cradle adapted for a bed for your comfort to experience the release and Re-balance of Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodily manipulation. Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. CST is particularly effective in the release of stored emotion. A craniosacral treatment is different from other massage therapy in that the client is clothed and the practitioner applies very light touch to the body, generally about 5 grams or the weight of a nickel. Work is supported through the whole body including the pelvic, spine, face and skull. During or after a craniosacral treatment, you may notice shifts in your emotional health as your body integrates the structural and energetic shifts in your body. Moreover clients report that they feel relaxed, rejuvenated, and their physical pain levels are decreased after treatment. We recommend that you allow enough time after your appointment to take a walk and allow the treatment to settle. Clients may need as little as one treatment to resolve symptoms although several treatments are recommended for optimal results. Sessions generally last about 60 minutes. History Basis Osteopath William Sutherland (1873–1954) in 1898–1900 developed Cranial Osteopathy, which is a forerunner of CST. Craniosacral therapy was developed by John Upledger, D.O. in the 1970s, and is loosely based on osteopathy in the cranial field (OCF), which was developed in the 1930s by Sutherland. The idea that the cranial sutures are “beveled, like the gills of a fish, indicating articular mobility for a respiratory mechanism of the temporal bones where they meet the parietal bones” stated Sutherland. Treatment Experience Patients often report feelings of deep relaxation during and after the treatment session. This is likely associated with an increase in endorphins, but research shows that the effects may actually on the endocannabinoid system. This is the same system cannabis effects. Because the craniosacral system is connected to the rest of the body by its connection to fascia, restrictions can affect many other systems, most notably the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, vascular system, endocrine system, etc. Because of these relationships, craniosacral therapy is used to treat many different conditions. What is Reconnective Healing? Reconnective Healing is a return to an optimal state of balance. It is the result of interacting with the fully comprehensive Reconnective Healing spectrum of frequencies that consists of energy, light and information. Energy is everything we are made up of organically, our very essence and our actual physical body. Light is the resonance and communication within these frequencies between the universe and us. Information comes through the very interaction and entrainment with the energy and the light. It’s tangible, measurable... you can actually feel it. Reconnective Healing completely transcends traditional energy healing techniques. We simply interact with the Reconnective Healing frequencies bringing about healings that are often instantaneous and tend to be life long. Reconnective Healing has been confirmed and documented in more than a dozen international studies. When RH frequencies entrain with our energy body we emit and vibrate at a higher level of light. This has been shown to restructure our DNA, resulting in the emission of measurably higher levels of bio-photonic light. Stanford Professor Emeritus of Materials Science and Engineering Dr. William Tiller says that when information carried through the Reconnective Healing frequencies is introduced, it creates coherence and order. In other words, greater harmony and balance within us. One visit — perhaps even part of one visit — may be plenty. Generally it is recommended that you consider up to three sessions. And although each session is special, often something particularly special is reported about session number three. The only time you might consider a few more sessions around the time of your first three is if a new situation arises for you or if you’ve been experiencing clear, recognizable, consistent improvement over the first three visits and it looks as if there’s a little more to go. At that point you might consider a few more sessions. After that, let go and allow time to unfold. Reconnective Healing is not about regular visits or “touch-ups.” You do not need “weekly” sessions or to visit a practitioner on an “ongoing” basis. Once you have your session(s), you own your change, your healing, and your evolution. It’s yours. No one can take it away from you.
