Relationships, communication with others, transitions, life changes and unexpected events are often difficult and stressful. Everyone runs into personal challenges from time to time, and for all kinds of different reasons. It is my belief that we are resilient human beings with all the intrinsic resources and strengths to help us resolve and heal any issues we have to deal with. Nevertheless, it can be very helpful to have the support of a professional, who is not connected to one's personal life and who can provide a new perspective, tools, and coping strategies when dealing with life's adversities. • Passionate about providing the highest level of professional counselling services • Diverse life experiences, wide range of training and expertise in areas that many people struggle with • View of therapeutic services as ongoing and preventative • Increase quality of life by conducting intermittent, long-term therapy to work on existential and spiritual concerns

Karen Palaniuk has her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Marriage and family therapists are unique in that they learn to work effectively with individuals, couples, and families using a systems perspective, meaning that when exploring with clients, we take into account the impact of the relationships (past and present), that they are in. Our past experiences and relationships shape who we are. Self-awareness can help us to recognize old patterns that can hold us back in our present relationships and experiences. I love empowering my clients by guiding them to develop self-awareness and to recognize their inner strengths and resources. Clients will not only use these tools to navigate current challenges, but will carry these skills forward in dealing with future challenges. "I provide a safe space for individuals, couples, and families to work through the difficult times while cultivating better connection, communication and healthy coping strategies which will in turn strengthen relationships with themselves and others. Clients appreciate my authentic approach which is both gentle and challenging."
