Counselling and Energy Medicine Are you suffering from physical or emotional pain, anxiety and worry or depression? Everyone needs help with personal problems now and then. Maybe you don't understand the cause or don't believe anything can help, please know that there is hope for complete recovery from trauma and loss or the pain of broken relationships. I use a holistic approach, combining psychotherapy with energy medicine. This approach is gentle and effective, often bringing significant change in one session. My goal is to empower others to be in charge of their own recovery. Each person has the ability within them to completely recover and fulfil their potential for health, happiness and prosperity. My role is to facilitate this path by providing the guidance and tools for comfort, healing and change. I can help you with: • Grief and Loss • Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD) • Relationship Problems • Children and Teens with Troubles • Chronic Pain and Anxiety Distance is not an obstacle. Sessions by phone or Skype, including email, are equally and often even more effective than working face-to-face. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), and a certified facilitator and trainer using Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) and Life Stress Reduction (LSR) techniques. In my practice I use TIR and LSR techniques, which are highly effective at reducing the effects of traumatic incidents and of many common stresses in life. More generally, these techniques are consistently effective in dealing with all of the issues for which people seek help from therapists, counsellors, and social workers. Some examples of such issues include: • Grief and loss • Accidents, injuries and illness • Domestic and other forms of violence • Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) • Difficult relationships • Low self-esteem and anxiety • Job/career concerns, and financial problems Clients come to me for these and many other reasons. They achieve their goals rapidly and are very pleased with their results. I also provide training in Traumatic Incident Reduction techniques to professional counsellors, therapists, psychologists, social workers, and trauma responders. The techniques are practical, effective, and employ easily learned skills. My training workshop graduates are delighted with the tools they learn and with the results their clients achieve. I am certified by Applied Metapsychology International as a facilitator, senior trainer, and technical director. I invite you to explore my website, and learn why clients and professionals have become so excited and empowered by this subject:
Helping people live hope-filled, restored and richer lives Randy provides counselling for individuals, couples and families seeking restoration and hope in relational and personal areas of their lives. The goal is to bring individuals and their relationships to wholeness; helping people live hope-filled, restored and richer lives. Randy's Basic Beliefs of Counselling - We all have a need to belong, feel significant, respected and loved. God wants us to be healthy in mind and spirit. He desires the best for each of us. - A counsellors' role is to uncover truths and misconceptions that are causing emotional or spiritual pain. Addressing these truths will show the root causes of the problems, and not just the symptoms. - The goal of counselling is that clients have a healthy understanding of themselves and their relationships; to be healthy in mind and spirit. - Randy respects and is sensitive to the beliefs of others and realizes that having a spiritual belief can richly help and add to the counselling and healing experience. As a professional therapist, Randy has earned the respect of colleagues and clients for his sensitivity, insight and non-judgmental attitude. His active listening and confidentiality allows for a safe, caring setting which puts his clients at ease. He encourages and helps people to address difficult issues, as he comes alongside in their time of need. His solid training, professional and life experiences equip Randy to help bring wholeness. Randy believes life is a beautiful gift and tries to live life to its fullest. He finds deep satisfaction in working with others to help bring wholeness to their lives and relationships. 3 Locations To Serve You Mapleview Medical Clinic 225 Mapleview Drive East, Unit 3, Barrie, ON L4N 0W5 79 Colborne St. E. I am a registered social worker with a Master and Bachelor in Social Work with a Human Services Foundations Certificate and a specialization in Child and Family Relations and Psychology. I have committed my professional life to my life long passion in being a therapeutic support to others. This passion comes from a deep understanding and compassion of the struggles and suffering that can occur in relationships, death of a loved one, in service to your country, employment experiences, with having emotional, medical, and psychological burdens, differing physical and developmental abilities, addictions, major life changes, in supporting others with these challenges and other afflictions that can be painful, frustrating, confusing and damaging to yourself, your relationships and your life. My treatment stems from a belief in the innate resiliency and human capacity for growth of all people , but that there may be times when we need the support of a caring therapist to get us to this place. I use various therapeutic modalities and tools to help achieve relief from the emotional, physical and psychological strain these difficulties are having on you and to become the optimal vision of yourself, in your relationships and your life. Therapeutic support may not always be necessary, in which life coaching may be the support that is needed to reach areas of your life that you want to enhance satisfaction and performance. This approach is motivating and planned around your goals and values in various areas of your personal and professional life. I also provide consultation to businesses in occupational health and differing abilities as I believe that our environments have a strong connection with our well-being and having healthy communities. I am passionate about providing support to help employees and businesses in being successful through obtaining optimal functioning. I provide presentations, workshops, care packages, program development, evaluation and improvement as resources in obtaining this optimal level of functioning. I have assisted organizations with accreditation, compliance reviews, created program evaluation measures, scopes of practice and program tools, community needs assessments, program development, and provided staff training, supervision and presentations on stress injuries and physical, developmental and mental health. I have obtained education in organizational psychology, systems theories and human services management through the Master and Bachelor in Social Work, Psychology, and Human Services Foundation Certificate degrees.
