Laurie Walker is a Registered Dietitian (RD), a motivational counsellor and an entrepreneur in London, Ontario and surrounding areas. With a love for health, wellness and intrigue with the science of the human body, she came to her first career choice, a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT). Employed as a technologist in Microbiology and Biochemistry departments, Laurie worked effectively in a team-environment, developed a strong commitment to quality work with an individual focus for each client’s health.
Motivated to expand her knowledge and further her learning in health and wellness, Laurie pursued and completed a Bachelor of Science degree: Honors Specialization in Foods and Nutrition. With a strong focus on the desire to improve the health of others, Laurie followed her degree, with a Master of Science in Foods and Nutrition, which included an accredited dietetic internship at Brescia University College, London, ON. Laurie has a devoted interest to improving the health of all Canadians. She believes that the evidence-based education of the dynamics of food and health and a supportive and motivational counsellor are key to the prevention of illness and improvement in overall quality of life.
