Description
The majority of workers in the Niagara Region are reaching the age of retirement. Niagara Welding Academy is here to prepare individuals in the welding field to fill positions that are available now, as well as those positions that will be opening in the future.
The Academy is equipped with modern equipment which is used by the steel fabricating industry. These include A.C./D.C. machines for conventional Stick Welding and TIG Welding for any metal including all alloys and MIG machines for semi-automatic welding on bare and flux-core wire. Our metal cutting equipment consists of three different types of torches for manual and two types for semi-automatic cutting. We also have instruction in gouging and plasma cutting.
Our courses are designed for the beginner or advanced welder and are taught by experienced instructors. The students are instructed on an individual basis, allowing the student to progress at their own pace. The Academy offers programs starting each Monday with a flexible class schedule for students between the hours of 8am and 8pm. Assistance with job placements, funding, and payment plans are also available.
It is the policy of the Academy to contribute in any way to the success of the graduates by contacting employers to ensure that our training is up-to-date and what is required in the trade.
