We used to go to the Lido for Chinese Food Buffet with our friends and family ALL the time. The restaurant itself was old, rundown and honestly needed a good cleaning, but the food was good, they offered a great variety and the price was really cheap for an all you can eat buffet. Then something changed. We'd go to eat at the buffet and many of the dishes would be empty and the staff wouldn't refill them unless you asked. The dishes that did have food in them were often not fresh - we often found ourselves scraping dried out bits of food from the bottom of the pan. Also, the quality of the food seemed to go downhill. The meat in dishes became more fatty and tough; what was once white meat in the chicken dishes became dark. We wondered if the restaurant had new owners and gave it several chances before we wrote it off completely. I haven't eaten there for a few years now; maybe they've improved things, but I wouldn't chance it.
