Characters Taverna

This little Greek restaurant has, for lack of a better term, great Character! (haha). Seriously, though. It has a family-owned business feel to it, though I don't know if they truly are family run. This is an incredibly welcoming restaurant and the food is really great. Prices are mid-range, so expect around $15-$20 per person to eat here. Their specialty is Greek food, and they do it well. Their souvlaki platters, saganaki, and moussaka are all wonderful. I wasn't a big fan of their hummus, though. They also have on their menu a butter chicken - which is typically considered Indian-inspired cuisine - but we ordered it to try once, and it was actually pretty tasty - mild, but with good flavor. The location puts this restaurant right near Davie Village - and there's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors in the nicer weather. It's definitely worth checking out.
