Rose's Bread Basket

For lunch, I highly recommend this restaurant! The sandwiches & soups are always fantastic and the fresh baked bread is always fresh and tasty! They have a wide selection of pastries and treats, like date squares, cookies, eclairs, etc. and the portions are usually quite large, giving you good value for the cost. I have had one bad experience here, where i commissioned them to bake a cake for my husband's surprise 40th birthday, it was supposed to be buttercream icing, a huge slab cake, and the cake was horrible, my guests couldn't eat it and it was quite embarrassing! The icing was not buttercream, the cake was not cooked well and when I took the cake back to complain, they challenged me, saying it was fine. They ended up giving me 1/2 my money back, but were not too happy about it. Needless to say, we haven't returned and that was 3 years ago. But, aside from the cake issue, which was a special order, definitely give them a try for lunch, it is SUPERB!
