My fireplace would not start up and so I started my research for someone local who was highly rated. I found GTA Heating and Air Conditioning was a GOLD Dealer for my brand of fireplace so gave them a call. After describing the symptoms, Mike was able to provide me with a high and low range for the repair, and was able to come within a few days which was great. On the arranged date, he let me know he was going to be a little late, and arrived at the revised time. His first step was to thoroughly clean the fireplace and replaced the igniter. Although he was able to get it going, it would not stay lit. After several attempts he indicated because I had a mercury switch, I needed a complete upgrade kit. This meant the repair was going to be the high side of his estimate and would require another visit. Once the kit came in, we arranged for his second visit a few days later.
