I am a professional visual artist painting semi-abstract landscapes in the style of Lawren Harris of the the Canadian Group of Seven.
As Harris states about his art "My work was founded on a long and growing love and understanding of Canada."
I too have a long and growing love of this vast country I call home. Born in Germany and immigrated as a child I have been fortunate enough to travel to and spend summers in British Columbia, live in Alberta, and Saskatchewan, travel through Manitoba - grow up in Ontario; live for a time in Quebec and also travel to the Maritime provinces. The beauty and the vastness that makes up Canada is astounding. Lawren Harris captured the spirit of Canada in his paintings and that is my desire as well.
