Rhizome is a great, female friendly, restaurant with a very unique atmosphere. Depending on what time of day you decide to visit, you might find the energy is low-key as people work quietly on laptops, or you might show up just when there is some fantastic evening entertainment going on - or even a board game night. It's the kind of neighbourhood place that is worth checking out, no matter when you go. The food is delicious and very friendly to people with diet restrictions. They even have a pot of self-serve lentil soup steaming away where guests can have some, priced as whatever you can afford that day. I've tasted a few of their menu items but the menu does change seasonally as does the entertainment. Depending on your personal tastes and the type of entertainment you enjoy, you're bound to (at least) have an interesting time.
