I empower people to take action for their own health results by teaching them how to pole walk, NORDIC STYLE through intro sessions, beginners' courses, and training groups. NORDIC POLE WALKING is NOT that "senior shuffle thing that old people do with poles". It is the dry land training for competitive x-country skiing. The rewards of NORDIC POLE WALKING are: improved posture, trimmer waist, stronger core, relaxed shoulders/neck/low back, ease on feet knees and hips, improved cardio fitness, fat loss. In addition, each participant discovers his/her unique stride length and pace that allows the body to maximize its coordination and get into the beautiful "flowing" rhythm of NORDIC STYLE pole walking. After learning how to pole walk NORDIC STYLE, I invite people to join me in the 10-week fitness training programs. Our goal is to improve overall health and fitness. We take 6 before and after measures. Once in a while, just for fun, we enter 5km and 10 km events. INTRODUCTORY SESSION: Usually Sunday at 1:30pm. 90 minute class, poles supplied, on local trails.
